Butterflies have long graced literature, art, and musings, flitting across the pages of history and seizing our collective imagination. Despite the countless words penned and uttered about them, a thought occurred to me the other day that I hadn’t really pondered: the butterfly is not experiencing the fullness of its own beauty as we, human observers, do. It has a whole world of its own that I, as a human observer, will never know. And beyond that, I can only speculate, envisioning a secret realm of butterfly mirrors where they catch a glimpse of their own magnificence. But whether or not that's true, this remains certain: they aren't witnessing the change from an external perspective.
